Privacy
Privacy at MartinWeb
MartinWeb does not use and will never add third-party advertising or third-party tracking technologies.
Member information
Members may voluntarily provide a username, securely hashed authentication credentials, optional profile information, posts and comments, private membership-application messages, and private suggestions and replies. Passwords are never stored in plaintext.
Anonymous suggestions use a private ownership mechanism so their submitting identity is not revealed to administrators through MartinWeb.
Limited first-party information
MartinWeb may collect limited technical information needed to operate the website, maintain security and reliability, maintain an aggregate site visit count, and diagnose visit-counting or technical problems.
Temporary first-party visit diagnostics may include a one-way visit identifier, timestamps, the requested page path, request count, and browser-type information from the user agent. Query strings and raw IP addresses are not retained in these diagnostic records.
Retention and access
Detailed visit diagnostics are private administrative records retained for approximately 60 days. They are never publicly accessible. The lifetime aggregate visit count may be retained indefinitely.
No third-party analytics or advertising
MartinWeb does not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta/Facebook Pixel, advertising pixels, third-party session replay, cross-site tracking, or external visitor-profiling services. MartinWeb does not sell visit data and never uses it for advertising.
